History of Scenic Rivers Health Services
Scenic Rivers Health Services, a Community Health Center and Federally Qualified Health Center, has been dedicated to providing accessible healthcare since its founding as Cook Area Health Services, Inc. in March of 1979. Over the years, the organization has expanded to serve an 8,500-square-mile area in northern Minnesota, operating seven medical clinics and four dental clinics.
With strong ties to critical access hospitals in Cook and Bigfork, Scenic Rivers Health Services ensures 24/7 patient care. Our mission focuses on delivering high-quality medical, dental, and behavioral health services to rural communities, emphasizing a commitment to keeping local residents healthy. By living and working in the same communities they serve, the providers at Scenic Rivers continue to prioritize patient-centered, affordable care for all.
At Scenic Rivers Health Services, we strive for a positive culture. Teamwork is valued in a supportive environment to achieve optimal patient care. We encourage a strong work-life balance, with a positive mindset and respect for one another.
