Dental Hygienist – Bigfork – Full Time or Part Time
We are currently seeking a full or part-time Dental Hygienist in Bigfork, MN to support our dental clinic. Our dental teams enjoy a positive and fast-paced environment in modern and well-equipped facilities. This position will deliver direct patient care as assigned using established dental hygienist procedures. The full-time schedule for this position is Monday – Thursday, 7:30am-5pm. A part-time schedule is 2-3 days per week.
VisDental is our fully implemented EDR. This Electronic Dental Record communicates with our medical clinics, so you’ll know your patient’s relevant medical conditions and prescriptions. All necessary dental and EDR training will be personalized to your individual needs.
Dental Hygienist Responsibilities:
- Review and record patient medical histories and dental charting
- Clean calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums using dental instruments
- Perform scaling and root planning procedures for the treatment of gum disease
- Examine patient gums and teeth for signs of disease, charting conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment from dentist
- Administer local anesthetic agents under dentist’s general supervision
- Operate X-ray equipment
- Provide patient education to assist with developing and maintaining good oral hygiene
- Maintain and sterilize dental equipment
- Typical patient visits are scheduled in 60-minute increments

Dental Hygienist Requirements:
- Patient care focus

- Thoroughness
- Current Minnesota Licensure in Dental Hygiene
- 2-3 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred
- Experience with VisDental or other electronic dental records is also preferred
